Diamond Prayer

Go out on the streets and hear the people praying in public, professing their love for a ‘person’ they know nothing about. Hypocrisy on many levels. Bah.

First of all, the style is all wrong.

“And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.”

Matthew 6:5

‘Prayer’ is intentional, mindful, internal dialogue. The televangelists are accumulating some reeaally effed up karma.

In many of the teachings we get out of the ‘New Testament’, we find Jesus telling us how to interact with collective consciousness / consensus reality. We find a good teacher who has understood the primacy of mind.

Above, in Matthew 6:5, we read about how these people praying in public have ‘received their reward in full’. What is that about? What is ‘their reward’?

Their reward is what their heart truly desires in that moment of prayer. They desire attention. They get it. That’s that.

In this consensus reality, where our thoughts and intentions are filtered through the great mind and weighed against the thoughts and intentions of other agents participating in this information / action flow, there are basically two types of prayer. There is dualistic prayer and there is diamond prayer.

Diamond prayer is driven by the Gnosis-Purified-Will, Dualistic prayer is mundane and seeks to manifest objects of false-imagination (false-imagination is a term taken from the Lankavatara Sutra, it is basically just the mind-system with all of its delusions and addictions and blind-spots).

There are those that pray in public with the unstated (and often unconscious) motive of receiving attention, praise, blame, conflict, or worldly power– even, or especially, in the name of that which is ‘holy’, ‘sacred’, or ‘spiritual’. They receive their rewards. That is that.

This is why the Bodhisattva from Israel warned us, in the very beginning of the Gospel of The Twin:

Yeshua said,
If your leaders tell you, “Look, the kingdom is in heaven,”
then the birds of heaven will precede you.
If they say to you, “It’s in the sea,”
then the fish will precede you.
But the kingdom is inside you and it is outside you.
When you know yourselves,  then you will be known,
and you will understand that you are children of the living father.
But if you do not know yourselves,
then you dwell in poverty and you are poverty.

Gospel of Thomas, 3

Following the guidance of these leaders, with their public prayer, their public guidance toward their kingdom of delusion, the little ones are led astray. Instead of receiving inconceivably boundless rewards, we receive stupid play things… we receive little limited rewards… mind-system bullshits.

Do not be satisfied with these little mind-system bullshits. The ‘big problems’ we are presented with are simply the symptoms of a mind that is seeking satisfaction from that which cannot be satisfying (this is, “Dukkha”). There is an urge-to-wholeness that the shitty little play things of false-imagination cannot satisfy.

Go ahead. Pray in public. Chase the petty rewards. Meanwhile, those who Gno will seek to surpass even him– as he instructed.

We lamp holders can only encourage others to hold their own lamps. The light we shine does not force anyone to walk with it’s illumination– the light is offered freely, the people are free to walk in the dark if they so choose. And, night-time excursions can be wonderful.

Spending an eternity in the light, what have you done? You have invented darkness. You, you little partition of an unimaginably large whole, you are the root of the mind-system. You are nothing but GOD. You are God when God has chosen to forget that God is God.

Diamond prayer is all about remembering your true root nature. It is about dropping the mind-objects born of the differentiating activity, and embracing the wholes that intellect cannot touch. Intellect can only take things in chunks, in slices, in pieces– it cannot deal with wholes.

Can you think of light without dark? Where is left without right? What is inner without outer? All of these are mind-products born of an inconceivably ancient process of discrimination which endlessly breeds ever increasing complexity.

Diamond prayer cuts through all illusion. Having cut through all illusion, the Buddha attains all the mysterious powers. This is why it receives such praise in the New Testament. Unfortunately, because we ‘Western People’ have lacked the Buddhist context, we have not understood this style of practice that Jesus exemplified.

The Silk Road carried more than Silk. There were Mahayana Monks in Alexandria during the time of Jesus. Jesus (Jesus Bar Abbas, the one that the crowd chose to release… the New Testament records that there were two important figures with the title of ‘savior’ or ‘Jesus’) was a Buddhist Jew who subverted John’s apocalyptic movement and created a new Dharma Door, a new form of Buddhism, from a place of deep compassion and wisdom– for the western world– just like our good buddy Padmasambhava foretold. The dharma sun rises in the east and sets in the west.

Mahayana Buddhism and Christianity were born in the same historic period for a very good reason– they are causally related.

A fun digression, yeah, but let’s get back to the topic at hand. Diamond prayer is perfect samadhi. Single-mindedness. No doubt. It is liberation from the limitations of the self-imposed restrictions that the mind system entertains throughout endless samsara. Yep. You become Neo from the Matrix. Hahaha.

When the disciples saw this, they marveled and asked, “How did the fig tree wither so quickly?”

“Truly I tell you, Jesus replied, “if you have faith and do not doubt, not only will you do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen.

If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask in prayer.”…

Matthew 21

Is it not yet clear? There are very many examples of this kind of thinking in the New Testament and beyond, in other Early Christian texts. We could say that this set of ideas is ‘multiply attested’ to have originated from somebody having gone by the title of Jesus. He seems to want to get the message across that if you control your mind, and ask with unwavering faith, without doubt, that you will begin to display some super powers.

I can only speak of it with such faith because I have experienced the fruits of the practice. I have seen the mountains move. I have seen a new consensus emerge. The experience of doubtlessness is a rare one, but when you have tasted the fruit, you will not question the validity of what Jesus is trying to tell us.

For now, let’s just take a look at another example:

If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But he must ask in faith, without doubting, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That man should not expect to receive anything from the Lord.…

James 5-7

The Book of James is a sweeeet little morsel. I’m totally surprised it has been allowed to sit side-by-side with the letters of Paul. Paul, a guy who never met Jesus, and James, Jesus’ brother… arguing about the merits of faith vs. works. How could it be that history has chosen the side of Paul? It is actually sickening. But, that is for another time. For now, since I touched the topic, I’ll give you this:

Someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?

James 2:18-20

Who is the foolish man? I’m going to say it is Paul. Because it has to be. HAHAHA.

So, while it seems that we have deviated from our path and wandered into a Paul-hating-session, we’ve actually circled around and come across an important lesson.

Our Diamond Prayer is not ‘Hands-Off, sit in the Temple and pretend we love people’– Diamond Prayer is active. Diamond Prayer is the faith that is shown by the endless compassionate work of the Bodhisattva. IT IS THE SINGLE THING THAT MAKES A BODHISATTVA A BODHISATTVA! Diamond Prayer is the action of becoming a Buddha-Conduit. It is the motion of a perfected Buddha Seed / Womb.

But it is all already sooooo perfect! That’s the thing.. That’s the crazy thing. It is already soooooo beautiful. So wonderful!

Seeing the world with the eyes of the Buddha, we Gno we’re walking in the Kingdom– we see Amitabha laughing and we feel the light caress of flower-petals raining down onto the perfectly soothing pools and rivers of the Pure Land. No longer pretending that we’re slaves to a wicked Father, we recognize that we are children of the Great Ever-Fruitful, Life-Loving, Mother Pistis Sophia. AND! She made no mistake! She perfected Pleroma. Fullness is not fullness unless it contains emptiness, evolution, ‘imperfection’, growth. Sophia, as the outer aion of pleroma, fulfilled her role as mother-creative-wisdom when she created a void within herself, inserted life-energy (Samael), and set the multiverses into motion. She is the perfect koan.

Continuing further, descending deeper, extending outward, recoiling inward, we begin to Gno that there has never really been any deviation from Pleroma. We begin to have compassion for Samael and the confused Hierarchy of Archons. They did not see us enter into their creation from our thrones in Pleroma.

Yeah… When they find us they will tremble and lash out against us. They will destroy us ten million times. And, projected above our bodies as they writhe on Roman Crosses, our self-organizing coherent psycho/spiritual/energy bodies will laugh like sons of bitches. Or, maybe like daughters of bitches? It’s hard to say.

Many blessings and much love.
