Throughout the evolution of Christianity, some simple practices have been ignored in favor of more exciting metaphysical speculation. GnoTruth is simple and profound. The actual practice is not complicated– the fruit of the practice is inconceivable.
The Book of James
Yep, this gem is in the New Testament. Not sure how the Vampires missed it..
James directly contradicts much of what has become common Christian Doctrine. Much of what you understand to be “Christianity” is ultimately the work of the Christian-killer, Saul (or, Paul). He HATED something about Jesus’ movement.
We can’t really be sure what it was that he hated so much… But, for a while he directly opposed it. Then he realized he was getting nowhere. So, he subverted the Jesus Movement (just as Jesus had subverted the John / Essene movement)– he redefined it.
Paul realized that kicking against the pricks was futile– and if you disagree with me, go read the passage again. Paul, on the road headed to do some Christian-Killing, had a delusional vision where he finally realized how to undue the teaching of Yeshua, Son of the Living One. Yeshua the Messiah was easier to deal with (there were two people going by ‘Jesus’ in this era). His movement, Yeshua the Christ, which was ‘of this world’, was totally crushed by the Romans.
What the hell am I talking about? Everyone loves Paul!! Hahaha.
Paul’s Testimony to Agrippa
…About noon, O king, as I was on the road, I saw a light from heaven, brighter than the sun, shining around me and my companions. We all fell to the ground, and I heard a voice say to me in Aramaic,‘Saul, Saul, why do you persecute Me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.’ ‘Who are You, Lord?’ I asked. ‘I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,’ the Lord replied.…
So, a UFO came down to Paul. Him and his companions cowered in fear and a voice came out from the UFO… speaking Aramaic.
What a strange story! Maybe I’m insane, but it seems pretty clear to me that this episode is the scene of Paul’s ultimate realization:
The Jesus movement was not going to be destroyed by direct persecution. Kicking against the pricks was only hurting Paul’s own feet.
So, what did he do? How did he change Jesus’ message? Well, he, Paul, went around preaching some opposing doctrine in the NAME OF JESUS! Paul’s Christianity is the vampire cannibal religion we’ve all become accustomed to.
Well, sorry to say, but Jesus did more than suffer and die. If you believe Paul, suffering and dying is all that Jesus was good for. In Paul’s world, God is some kind of angry flesh eating beast. BUT! Paul’s religion suggests that if we feed this monster the flesh of his own child, he will be forever satiated.
